Vogue Magazine is a must-have for anyone who is interested in style and fashion a cut above the mainstream. While it doesn't proffer celebrity fashion or affordable clothing, Vogue is chock-full of new insights, and not just into fashion. The column "Nostalgia"--one of my personal favorites--hosts guest writers who write about everything from having Jackie O. as a book editor to dressing preppy. I also love the pretentious but informative health and food articles about cutting-edge diets or innovative ways of cooking food. Overall, the fashion, while clearly not affordable, lends creative inspiration to anyone looking to update a wardrobe, and the articles are well-written and informative.

Each month I excitedly anticipate the arrival of the latest Vogue Magazine issue. Headed by Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, inspiration for the character in 'The Devil Wears Prada,' Vogue showcases the best looks from runways around the world every month. I love how it has so many different styles, it doesn't focus on just what's in style for this season, it shows all kinds of different things that pretty much anyone would pick & choose of what they like. Usually they're pretty thick, not just those itty bitty 100-page magazines. They do have a lot of advertisements, but what magazine doesn't? Living outside of a big city it helps to keep me up on new trends and what the designers suggest for the season. It is not only the writing that makes this huge magazine great, the ads are also fun to look at and everyone advertises in Vogue. It is not an expensive magazine but it will keep you busy for hours.
